Hi, I'm Thomas.

cowlpane is my personal briefing on three things I think about every day: AI, the economy and investing.

I work in IT and invest my own money. Here I write down how I read the news and what I make of it for my portfolio: honest, in my own words and with the doubts and mistakes included. I don't try to be faster than Reuters. I try to make sense of things.

How cowlpane works

• Every article under my name is written by me and published exactly as I wrote it. No AI writes or rewrites my text.
• There is no fixed schedule for my articles. I publish when I have something worth saying.
• Once a day, the cowlpane Desk publishes one longer research article per topic. These are researched and drafted with AI from current news, list their sources and are clearly labelled "cowlpane Desk (AI-assisted)". They are not written by me.
• Each article belongs to one topic: AI, Economy or Investing.
• In the Lab I run paper-trading bots in public and compare them with the MSCI World.
